Christmas

Christmas time was fun for us this year. Both Ava & Dillon really got into the spirit of Christmas and loved decorating the house & tree, driving around looking at lights, making cookies, shopping and wrapping presents. We really missed going to Utah to see our families for the holidays, and being in the snow for a white Christmas, but we still had a great time. Somehow, in everything we did, we did not take a single picture on Christmas day!!! Here are a few pictures of everything else....

This is what Christmas in Arizona looks like..

It was cold & rainy for a few days right around Christmas,
this is as close to snow as we get! The kids loved it!

On the last day of school before Christmas break, Ava's class had a Jingle Jog. They went outside and danced to music... (she is doing the chicken dance)
Ran around the field...

Saw Santa...

After school, Ava went to her friend Beth's house to decorate
Christmas Cookies and they brought her home on this hay ride!!

Every day in December, Ava & Dillon were excited to pull a treat from
our advent quilt. (Check out Ava's shoes - they are Brians')

This is the Sunday right before Christmas...

Brian's sister Shelly and her family spent Christmas Eve with us.
(Darrell, Olivia, Shelly, Nate & Alex).
We ate (alot) and had a blast playing games & just hanging out!

Livvie helped Ava make "reindeer food" to sprinkle outside...

This is Ava's letter to Santa and the cookies that she left for him...

This is the only Christmas present that we have a picture of so far!!! It is a Lite Brite, and Ava loves it! I remember having a Lite Brite when I was about her age, I think that I got it for Christmas too!

We spent most of Christmas Day at my sister Natasha's house with her, Jake, Sam & Maddie. We had dinner and played a bunch of really fun games. We spent the next few days going back to her house to play more games, and to eat much more food!!! We had an awesome time!

Sounds like a wonderful holiday. I love that Ava is in the dressup phase. I miss my girls doing that. And we also put away our Lite Brite this year to make room for new stuff. Boo Hoo! My girls are growin' up...
